Two pairs of firm 20-30 mmHg knee highs in black Merino wool blend with a cushioned terry sole.

These two-pair packs feature a heather grey knit blended from 40 percent royal alpaca wool, nylon, acrylic, and spandex. The light, neutral grey shade pairs easily with casual footwear or work trousers without drawing extra attention. A graduated 15-20 mmHg pressure profile applies the most tension at the ankle and decreases toward the wide upper band below the knee. The thick alpaca wool knit insulates well in cold weather, though it will feel heavy and warm inside insulated winter boots on mild days.

The yarn blends royal alpaca with nylon and acrylic to produce a soft surface texture in an understated grey tone. Spandex provides the mechanical recovery needed to maintain 15-20 mmHg pressure across the leg. A flat toe seam prevents friction across the front of the toes inside closed shoes.
Select your size using your calf circumference and shoe size rather than clothing or dress size. Size X-Large fits calf circumferences from 12 to 16 inch with women shoe sizes 5 to 9 or men 6 to 8.5. Size XX-Large accommodates wide calves measuring 17 to 23 inch with women shoe sizes 7 to 10 or men 7 to 9.5.
Wash these socks in cold water on a gentle cycle to preserve the wool fibers and mechanical elastic tension. Air drying is recommended to maintain the knit shape and prevent shrinkage. Avoid chlorine bleach, which breaks down the spandex and degrades the natural alpaca wool.

Compression comes from spandex under tension. Heat relaxes spandex permanently, so the two things that kill a compression sock are a hot wash and a hot dryer. Nothing else comes close.
