Alpaca and wool compression socks

The warm end of the range: royal alpaca knee highs and a merino pair.

Animal fiber behaves differently from viscose or cotton. It holds warmth when the leg is cold and keeps its loft after a full day in a boot, which is why these are the pairs that get worn in winter and on long flights. The alpaca builds blend 40 percent royal alpaca with nylon and acrylic for recovery and run 15-20 mmHg, including wide calf versions; the merino pairs are 62 percent wool at 20-30 mmHg. This is also the most expensive section of the catalog. Wash cool and lay flat: heat is what felts wool.
